Confession of Sin
Our Father, Your Word is clear. We are to be involved in
each other’s lives. We are to be careful to notice when someone is in need. We
are to help each other to bear the burdens You place on us. And yet, it is so
easy for us to be concerned just for ourselves. It is so easy to neglect the
others who are here. It is so easy not to care. Forgive us for this sin. Teach
us to care for one another, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
Declaration of Pardon
Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet
we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced
for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the
chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53.4-5
