For Sunday

Reading of the Law of God
Love is patient and kind. 1 Corinthians 13.4

Confession of Sin
Our Father, Your Law reminds us of the times when we have been anything but patient with others. We remember the times when we were irritated with them and complained to ourselves and sometimes to others about them. We stand convicted by Your Law. We are so grateful that Your love for us is a patient love. We humbly ask that You would once again forgive us our sin. We are so bold to ask again for this forgiveness only because of Jesus, our faithful Savior. Amen.

Declaration of Pardon
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

God, the Father of mercies, has reconciled the world to himself through the death and resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ, not counting our trespasses against us, but sending his Holy Spirit to shed abroad his love among us. By the ministry of reconciliation entrusted by Christ to his Church, receive his pardon and peace to stand before him in his strength alone, this day and evermore.
