For Sunday

Reading of the Law of God
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5. 15-17

Confession of Sin
Our Father, all too often we do not use our time wisely. It is so easy for us to try to squeeze too much into too little time or to fritter it away. We so often find ourselves either driven or lazy. And we rarely find the time just to stop and think about You. Forgive us for this foolish use of a precious gift. Renew our minds so that we would know how to make best use of the time You give to us. We ask this in Jesus’ name and for His sake. Amen.

Declaration of Pardon
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. Romans 8.1,2

God, the Father of mercies, has reconciled the world to himself through the death and resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ, not counting our trespasses against us, but sending his Holy Spirit to shed abroad his love among us. By the ministry of reconciliation entrusted by Christ to his Church, receive his pardon and peace to stand before him in his strength alone, this day and evermore.
