It starts out dark.
Life is not going well for the psalmist, and he acknowledges that before God.
Again, we see the honesty of the Psalms. But also note that the Psalm ends on a
very optimistic note, the note of praise. It does not appear that anything has
changed in the writer's situation. Life is still hard. He is still in pain. And
yet, he knows how it will all end up. And so he praises his God.
