Reading of the Law
of God
You shall not steal.
Exodus 20.15
Confession of Sin
Our Father, Your Law
speaks to us about our use of property and wealth. It requires honest dealings.
It calls us to be careful in our attachment to worldly goods. It expects us to
labor diligently so that we can have something to share. We acknowledge that we
have sinned, sometimes publicly in ways that others can see and sometimes
privately in the attitudes of our hearts. Please forgive us our sin and show us
how to change. We ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Declaration of
Pardon
Therefore, since we
have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ. Romans 5.1
May almighty God,
who sent his Son into the world to save sinners, bring you his pardon and
peace, now and for ever.
