For Sunday

Reading of the Law of God
You shall not steal. Exodus 20.15

Confession of Sin
Our Father, Your Law speaks to us about our use of property and wealth. It requires honest dealings. It calls us to be careful in our attachment to worldly goods. It expects us to labor diligently so that we can have something to share. We acknowledge that we have sinned, sometimes publicly in ways that others can see and sometimes privately in the attitudes of our hearts. Please forgive us our sin and show us how to change. We ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Declaration of Pardon
If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. Psalm 130.3-4

The Lord enrich you with his grace, and nourish you with his blessing; the Lord defend you in trouble and keep you from all evil; the Lord accept your prayers, and absolve you from your offences, for the sake of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
