For Sunday

Reading of the Law of God
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Exodus 20.8-11

Confession of Sin
Our Father, we hear Your Law. We know what You require. And yet, all too often, we follow the ways of the world. We profane the Sabbath. We ask that You would forgive us. We ask that You would teach our hearts the blessings of obedience to this command. We ask that You would teach our hearts to submit to You. We ask this only through Jesus, our Savior. Amen.

Declaration of Pardon
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2.1-2
