Scripture to Meditate On

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7.18-19

'Who is a God like you?' Isn't that a good question? It's good to spend a little time comparing our God with the many false gods that we encounter (and too often believe). Our God pardons and forgives our sins. If you think about it, looking to those other gods always results in guilt, something that they have no power to deal with. One of the glories of our God is that He forgives and forgets. Our sins are buried in the depths of the sea never again to be remembered to our shame. Yes, who is a God like You, O Yahweh?
