David, once again,
is struggling. We read about his fear and trembling, anguish of heart, moaning
in pain. He would love to simply fly away from it all, to escape the conflicts
and the suffering. And here's one reason why it's so bad. One of those who is
making his life so bitter is someone who had been a dear friend, someone he
shared the joys of life with. Betrayal hurts. So, David calls out to Yahweh.
And he also speaks to himself. He reminds himself of God's truth. 'Cast your
burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you.' David clings to this promise of
hope. He knows that, unlike his enemies, he will be kept safe. He will make it.
