Uncomfortable

Linda was in the last stages of labor, ready to deliver her firstborn, when she told the nurse-midwife, 'I'm feeling very uncomfortable', to which the midwife said something like, 'Well dear, you're going to feel uncomfortable until this is done.' And she was right. Linda was uncomfortable until Seth was born.

The Spirit of God is so very powerful. He takes our broken lives and changes them, sometimes dramatically, as He moves us all to the age to come. But there are parts of each life that are not changed. There are disappointments, regrets, wounds and more that stay with us while we are here. And they make life 'uncomfortable'. The Spirit doesn't promise that these things will all be healed now. No, but they will be later. Completely healed. And so, we wait for the birth of that new world where all will be perfect, including us. In the meantime, we live with those discomforts knowing that they have been placed in our lives to advance the kingdom. God uses these evils to bring about good. We live in faith, accepting our suffering as according to His wisdom, offering our suffering as a tool for Him to use for His honor and in hope of the day when nothing will be uncomfortable any more.
